Daytime light and privacy after dark
Sheer curtains soften the view into a room, but they are not a privacy screen for every lighting condition. When your room is brightly lit after dark, people outside may see through the fabric. Even in daylight, the weave and viewing angle affect what is visible.
For a condo living room facing another block or a shared walkway, discuss those sightlines during measurement. If you also use the room in the evening, pair sheers with a heavier curtain layer that can close independently.
At full-height glazing, consider where the open curtains will gather. Keep the route to a balcony door and its handle usable, and compare fabric samples against the actual window before choosing colour and openness.

Typical lead time is 2–3 weeks from order confirmation to installation, subject to fabric availability and peak-period schedules. We confirm your installation date when you place your order.
Made Right, With Warranty
If there is an issue with our workmanship or measurements, we will remake it. Other warranty coverage, including the warranty duration, varies depending on the product, and the applicable terms will be stated in your quotation.

A free on-site measure, with fabric samples in your own light. No obligation to confirm on the spot.
03 — Confirm the number
Fabric, measurements, tracks, final price — one quote, one number, and it doesn't move after you sign.
04 — Made & installed
Typical lead time is 2–3 weeks from order confirmation to installation, subject to fabric availability and peak-period schedules. We confirm your installation date when you place your order. Installation usually takes around 1–2 hours for a typical home with three bedrooms and a living room. Timing depends on the agreed scope and site conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are day curtains and sheer curtains the same?
Day curtains describes their daytime use; sheer describes the light, open fabric. Drapeworks' day curtains use sheer fabrics to filter daylight. Compare the actual sample because different weaves allow different amounts of light and visibility.
Can people see through day curtains at night?
Yes, they may be able to, especially when your room is brighter than outside. Do not rely on a sheer layer alone for privacy after dark. A heavier outer layer gives you another way to cover the window.
How should I compare sheer samples for privacy?
Hold the samples against the same window to compare their weave, the daylight they admit and how clearly you can see through them. Explain which neighbouring windows or walkways overlook the room and when you normally switch on the lights. A small sample can help you compare fabric openness, but it cannot demonstrate the privacy of a fully fitted curtain. If privacy after dark matters, compare a separate heavier layer too.
Can I wash sheer curtains at home?
Check the care instructions for the fabric you choose before washing. Fibre blends, trims and construction can require different care. Ask for those instructions with your quotation rather than assuming every sheer is machine washable.
