Day and night curtains combine a sheer inner layer with a heavier outer layer, so one window can handle bright afternoons and private evenings.
Both layers run independently on a dual-track system, giving you more control without changing the look of the room.

Choosing for your room
Two layers that move independently
A day and night setup uses two curtain tracks: one for the sheer layer and one for the heavier night layer. Open both for an unobstructed window, close the sheer for softer daylight, or close the heavier layer for greater coverage. Each layer can move without pulling the other with it.
Two layers need room both along the ceiling and beside the window when gathered open. For condo balcony doors or wide landed living-room openings, plan the stacking side around the door you use and check clearance from handles and furniture.
Before a renovation contractor closes a ceiling cove, share the proposed curtain layout for assessment. The required space depends on the actual track and fabric; there is no single pelmet dimension suitable for every two-layer installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do day and night curtains use one track or two?
They use a dual-track arrangement with a separate running track for each layer. That lets the sheer and night curtains open and close independently on the same window.
Do I need both layers in every room?
No. Choose by the room's daytime use, evening privacy and need for darkness. A living room used after dark may benefit from both, while another room may suit one layer. Discuss each window instead of assuming the whole home needs the same setup.
Can a dual track fit inside my existing curtain cove?
It needs to be checked. Share the cove dimensions and photos, but have the space assessed against the chosen tracks, fabric folds and fitting access before ordering. Avoid committing to ceiling work based on a generic clearance figure.
How much do curtains cost in Singapore?
The price depends on the fabric selected, track system, window size and complexity of the installation.
Drapeworks imports its fabric and hardware directly and does not operate a showroom, so pricing reflects the work rather than showroom retail overhead.
