FAQ
Have questions about our curtains, installation, pricing or materials? Here are answers to some of the questions we are commonly asked by homeowners in Singapore.
If you cannot find what you need, contact our team directly.
We serve customers island-wide, including HDB flats, condominiums, landed homes and commercial spaces. On-site consultations can be arranged anywhere in Singapore.
Drapeworks has installed window treatments in over 100 Singapore homes, including HDB flats, condominiums and landed properties. Our team has working knowledge of fabric performance, track systems and what works well in Singapore's climate.
If there is an issue with our workmanship or measurements, we will remake it. Other warranty coverage varies depending on the product, and the applicable terms will be stated in your quotation.
Yes. During your on-site consultation, our team will bring a selection of fabric swatches for you to view in your own home. This allows you to assess the colour, texture and opacity under the actual lighting in your space.
We offer:
Day curtains are pleated by default, with ripple-fold available as a styling option.
Day curtains use sheer fabric to filter natural light while providing daytime privacy.
Night curtains use blackout-weave or coated fabrics to block approximately 80-100% of light, making them suitable for sleep and full privacy.
A day & night dual-track system combines both curtain types on the same window.
For bedrooms, night curtains or a day & night dual-track setup are typically recommended for better darkness during sleep.
For living rooms, day curtains or dimout curtains may be suitable depending on how much light you prefer.
During the on-site consultation, we assess each room before recommending the appropriate system.
Polyester and polyester-blend fabrics generally handle Singapore's humidity better than natural fibres because they are more resistant to mould, mildew and shrinkage.
For west-facing rooms, Drapeworks recommends UV-stabilised fabrics to help prevent bleaching from strong sunlight.
The price depends on the fabric selected, track system, window size and complexity of the installation.
Drapeworks imports its fabric and hardware directly and does not operate a showroom, so pricing reflects the work rather than showroom retail overhead.
An on-site consultation can be arranged for a transparent, itemised quotation.
Pricing is based on the fabric, hardware and specific requirements of each window.
Because Drapeworks imports fabric and hardware directly and does not operate a showroom, pricing reflects the work itself rather than retail overhead.
Every quotation is itemised, with one quoted amount and no hidden costs.
Yes. The on-site consultation is complimentary and there is no obligation to proceed.
It includes window measurements, fabric recommendations and an itemised quotation.
For a typical home consisting of three bedrooms and a living room, installation usually takes around 1-2 hours.
Installation is scheduled around your availability, and the team cleans up after the work is completed.
Yes. We recommend that you are present during installation so our team can show you how everything operates, confirm that the finished installation meets your expectations and address any concerns immediately.
Our installers use precision tools and only mount where structurally required.
Floors and furniture are protected during installation, and minor touch-ups are addressed on the spot.
The usual lead time is 2-3 weeks from order confirmation to installation.
During peak periods, including year-end and the period before Chinese New Year, lead times may be longer. The team will confirm the exact installation date when you place your order.
Regular vacuuming with a brush attachment every 2-4 weeks helps remove dust before it settles into the fabric.
For spot cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild detergent.
Most polyester curtains can be hand-washed in cold water, but you should always check the care label first. Lined or delicate fabrics should be professionally dry-cleaned.
Professional cleaning is recommended every 12-18 months.
More frequent cleaning may be appropriate for homes that are particularly dusty, have pets or are located near busy roads.
Regular vacuuming between deeper cleans can also help extend the life of the fabric.
